Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Department of Press, Information and Relations with Media Accreditation rules for journalists
Accreditation Requirements for local journalists, special correspondents of foreign media organizations in Armenia, and foreign journalists, on a short stay in Armenia (accreditation is needed for official meetings only)
Local journalists, and special correspondents of foreign media organizations in Armenia should submit the following documents:
- letter, signed and sealed, from the head of the media organization, or editor-in-chief, certifying the journalist’s credentials (pdf or jpg)
- passport size photo (pdf or jpg)
- copy of ID-card / passport (pdf or jpg)
- CV (pdf or jpg)
- application form filled out
The accreditation card is valid until 31 December 2009.
For accreditation at the Department of Press, Information and Relations with Media of the Ministry, foreign journalists, on a short stay in Armenia, should submit the following documents:
- letter, signed and sealed, from the head of the media organization, or editor-in-chief, certifying the journalist’s credentials; in the letter, the purpose of the visit, the name/s of the journalist/s, the period of the stay in Armenia, and the list of meetings (in case of solicitude of meetings in governmental circles, and other requests to the Department, the letter should be sent beforehand, either by ordinary mail, or by fax (at 565601), or by e-mail (at press@mfa.am) should be mentioned
- passport size photo
- copy of ID-card / passport
- CV
- application form filled out
- The accreditation card should be picked up at the Ministry.
- The accreditation card is given for the period of the validity of the entrance visa.
- In case of the absence of the entrance visa (for countries without visa requirements), the accreditation card is given for the period mentioned in the official letter, by agreement of the Head of the Department of Press, Information and Relations with Media of the Ministry.
